We are patting ourselves on the back for three fantastic years at The Alcorn. Woooo Hoooo! Here’s to many more in honour of our namesake, George Oscar Alcorn, above; he was a Member of the House of commons from 1900-1908. Alcorn Avenue is a tribute to him and his wife, Sara Jean Leavitt; she is particularly inspiring to us for raising five children and her volunteerism in an era that discouraged woman from being away from home, she makes us proud.

We love being at Yonge and Alcorn! It is a dynamic neighbourhood that has generously supported our business: thank you to all of our clients that believe in our talents. We are also extremely grateful for those of you who travel from far away for our talents, we promise to uphold our devotion to beautiful hair so it continues to be worth the trek.

Most importantly, we are grateful for all of the talent that resides at the Alcorn. Yes, hair salons are like families, really intense families! Each one of us helps to make The Alcorn the salon that Toronto is buzzing about; there is no better feeling than hearing: ” … I kept hearing your name mentioned, and thought I would come get my haircut”. Let’s celebrate all of those referrals!
