Frances-Frenzy!
Post-LG Fashion Week buzz is that model,Frances Coombe, made the fashion-crowd swoon with her Titian tinted mane. Toronto Life has declared her a “rising-star model” and The Kit blogged that she disproved the edict: redheads shouldn’t wear copper makeup. Her colourist, Jed Puznak, weighs in: “Frances’ ivory skin tone compliments copper-hair-colour perfectly!” After walking at Yohji Yamamoto during Spring 2012 Paris fashion week, she dazzled her hometown crowd with appearances at Joe Fresh,Greta Constantine,Arthur Mendonca and Jeremy Laing.
Frances has quickly been ascending the modelling world; her breakout moment came when she brazenly went from natural blonde to head-turning bronze for Fall/Winter 2011 New York Fashion Week. Her timing for a makeover couldn’t have been better; after several seasons of models with fawn-coloured hair dominating the runways, Frances’ new-penny shade was invigorating. She definitely established that she is a top-model-contender when she walked the Marc Jacobs show.
We think Frances is a genuine fashion inspiration for tinting her sunday-school blonde hair a raucous-red; she reminds us that sometimes you just have to take bold-beauty risks to get noticed. We encourage you to seek counsel from fashionable people in your life, but please, don’t be afraid to defy expectations.
Photographer,Peter Tamlin, caught Frances’ brief flirtation with a cooler-hued red in the image above; she is lucky to be able to wear either a warm-orange or a cool-violet red.
